Tuesday, 4th November 2014, Delhi University: DUKHABAR a thriving news portal amongst Delhi University students organized a cleanliness drive in North Campus. Stepping on the cleanliness bandwagon initiated by the central government, the drive organized by students was a key step to extend their support to this campaign. Also stating their concern for the cause.

The drive began from Daulat Ram College up till Khalsa College. The street got all cleaned up by small kids from Nai Disha – An Educational and Cultural Institution, students from various colleges and NSS wing of Daulat Ram College.

The initiative also illustrates the concern of the Indian youth in regard to their nation and its problems. As environment needs to be protected against the increasing levels of pollution-land, water and air, means of garbage collection and disposal need to be implemented in the Indian community. This drive achieved the objective of spreading awareness regarding keeping the streets even clean and free of clutter apart from the insides of home.

The cause was also supported by Flowguard plus Pipes & Fitting, CollegeDunia, Reformation IAS Academy. University Express, Explore DU, News Bench as Media Partners and AIESEC-Youth outreach partner.

The campaign -SWATCHH BHARAT ABHIYAN is acting as a milestone in bringing about the nuances of cleanliness in limelight and aspiring for a beautiful Bharat. DUKHABAR surely took a gorgeous step in supporting the cause along with the hundreds of concerned citizens.
